UCI Awarded First Place Kansas Construction Safety Excellence Award (KCSEA) by AGC of Kansas

February 12, 2019

As UCI continues to focus on company-wide safety initiatives, we have been recognized once again and awarded a first place Kansas Construction Safety Excellence Award in the Heavy Division for 300,001 – 700,000 man-hours.  KCSEA recognizes construction companies who excel at safety performance by examining each candidates commitment to safety and risk control.

The KCSEA selection process is considerably more comprehensive than the National AGC Safety Awards program.  Through this process, judges examine additional criteria such as company management commitment, active employee participation, safety training, work site hazard identification and control, and safety program innovation.

UCI has a long-running culture of safety and proactivity, and has developed one of the most progressive safety programs in the industry.  Our unique safety analysis system provides a proactive safety program, allowing us to recognize hazards before they occur.  We utilize Predictable Performance®, allowing us to complete our jobs in a predictable manner, focused on the safety of our teams, quality of work, and on-time completion without lost time incidents.

“UCI’s safety performance on the project contributed to over 375,000 project man-hours worked without a recordable injury.” – Burns & McDonnell
