Project Overview

UCI and design partner PEC provided a proposal to the City of Mulvane for the design and construction of a new water treatment plant based on preliminary design and selected process equipment.  The preselected equipment was Greensand Filters by Hungerford & Terry and Reverse Osmosis units by G.E.  The design and permitting began in September 2013 and construction began in January 2014.

The project team was able to design and construct this facility in 11 months’ time, giving the City of Mulvane a secure source of water and ability to expand for the future.
